Julie Cole

Julie S. Cole is an Educational Consultant at Lex Tecnica, where she focuses on special education advocacy, IEP and 504 planning, and family empowerment. She brings two decades of experience in K–12 education and special education consulting, with a track record of supporting hundreds of families in securing the services and accommodations their children deserve.
Julie's work spans IEP and 504 meetings, dispute navigation, and educational planning, helping clients navigate the often overwhelming and unpredictable terrain of the U.S. special education system. Her approach is grounded in thorough preparation, collaborative advocacy, and a whole-child perspective that addresses academic, physical, and social-emotional needs.
Prior to joining Lex Tecnica, Julie served as a classroom teacher for 13 years and as an assistant principal for 3 years, building deep institutional knowledge of how school systems operate — knowledge she now leverages on behalf of the families she serves.
