Dr. Alfonso Padron is a paralegal at Lex Tecnica (IEP Defenders), where they focus on Special Education. Dr. Padron brings 20 years of experience in assisting parents with children with disability needs in Education, with a track record of bringing school district to mediations and hearings. Ultimately, Dr. Padron has a track record with Eight due process matters taken to Hearing and Office of Administrative Hearing (OAH) and decisions.
Dr. Alfonso Padron's work spans attending IEP meetings, helping clients/Parents navigate the complex special education landscape. The approach is grounded in leveling the playing field, professional approach and creative problem-solving.
In the last few years, Dr. Padron has acquired around thousands of dollars’ worth of private educational services for the Latino community thru advocacy. In response to the pandemic, it is estimated that Dr. Padron acquired around 4000 hours’ worth of tutoring and compensatory education for students in the community who were educationally affected by the pandemic.
Prior to joining Lex Tecnica, Dr. Alfonso Padron for 20 years was a state certified drug and alcohol counselor for adults. While participating as a counselor saw a need for higher education in criminal justice to best serve the population in a counseling role and was able to acquire higher level degrees.
