Adam Wardel, Esq.

Adam Wardel, Esq.

Adam Wardel is an attorney at Lex Tecnica, where he advises growth-stage and venture backed SaaS, technology, and AI companies on corporate, commercial, governance, and regulatory matters. He brings 14 years of experience as both in-house counsel and outside adviser; including service as General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer to four companies, mentor to the incubator program at the Université Dauphine, and board of directors for two for-profit and two non-profit organizations. In 2020, Mr. Wardel was named Utah Corporate Counsel of the Year.

Mr. Wardel's work spans the full range of matters that cross a general counsel's desk: commercial and SaaS contracting at scale, financing rounds and M&A, board and corporate governance, employment across the U.S., U.K., and Canada, data privacy global regulation, and emerging AI regulation including the EU AI Act. He has built legal functions from inception at three companies, integrated four acquisitions (two international) within nine months, and established subsidiary operations across ten foreign jurisdictions. His approach is commercially grounded, direct, and built around operating as part of a client's leadership team rather than adjacent to it.
